Key Information
- Reading — Please read at home at least three times a week. Children will bring home a story book from the library to share at home. The children will bring home sounds cards which will be the sounds taught that week. These need to be in school every Friday for the new sounds to be added. This will be changed to books with words when they are ready. Please sign in the reading diary to say when the book has been read. It is good for a child to read the book more than once to work on comprehension skills and to develop their fluency and pace.
- Books are changed on Tuesdays and Fridays.
- PE days are Tuesday for Grasshoppers and Friday for Caterpillars.
- Please ensure earrings, are removed on these days, hair is tied up, and the children have a clearly labelled PE kit.
- Welly Wednesdays – will be once a term Please send children into school in old clothes that you do not mind if they get dirty! During the winter months, please make sure that they have a warm coat, scarf and hat.

Term One
The children loved listening to the story of the three little pigs. They designed and made their own house. The children enjoyed role playing the story and joining in with the repeated phrases. The children made den outside for the Big, Bad, Wolf.
Early years have been looking at families and friends. The children have enjoyed talking about the people in their family, painting a portrait of their friend and making friendships bracelets either using beads or paper.
